The study also found that women were more likely to develop dementia than men, and those without mild cognitive impairment. The study found that those who did not have a particular genetic variant (APOE e4 ).) had a greater reduction in risk.
Although more research is required to confirm this finding, the study suggests that supplementing with vitamin D may be an effective and simple way to reduce dementia risk.
